WFTDA Releases June 30 Rankings, Tournament Seeding

The countdown to WFTDA tournament season is officially on! Today, the WFTDA released the highly anticipated June Rankings of its member leagues. These rankings, which reflect games played through June 30, 2015, are used to determine the seeding for the WFTDA Division 1 and 2 Playoffs.

WFTDA Selects 2015 International WFTDA Playoffs and Championships Tournament Head Announcers

The Women’s Flat Track Derby Association is pleased to confirm the selection of Tournament Head Announcers for the 2015 International WFTDA Playoffs and Championships. This year’s Tournament Head Announcers have a combined total of more than 60 years of announcing roller derby and unparalleled leadership experience. The Tournament Head Announcers will work directly with the Announcer Pool Coordinator to select the 2015 announcing crews.

WFTDA Membership Approves Changes to Tournament Seeding Rubric, Adds Additional D2 Games to Champs

July 13, 2015

To support growing global participation at the highest level of play, WFTDA Membership has approved changes to the WFTDA Playoff seeding process to allow leagues with significant and measurable financial and geographic preferences to request specific Playoff locations. This change allows WFTDA Competitive Play more flexibility in assigning Playoff locations that best fit the needs of members while maintaining competitive matchups.
